When switching from an antiperspirant to a deodorant, it’s not uncommon to go through a transition period called a detox. This could last anywhere from a couple of days to 2-4 weeks— everyone is different— and may include more underarm odor that usual, more sweat, and slight irritation. An increase in odor is a sign that your body is rebalancing after releasing the aluminum from your pores that once prevented you from sweating. You may also begin sweating more (temporarily), but both sweat and smell should decrease as your body continues to adjust with continued use of deodorant. If you experience any abnormal side effects, we recommend consulting your physician.

Our deodorant is formulated with lichen extract—a naturally derived moss-like ingredient— to help fight odor-causing bacteria under the arms and deliver long-lasting odor protection. Cotton extract and witch hazel absorb wetness. Essential oils refresh and leave your pits smelling fresh, clean, and odor-free.

Antiperspirants are formulated to prevent or stop underarm sweat. Deodorants are formulated to protect against underarm odor. Every Man Jack carries deodorants, meaning they won’t primarily stop you from sweating, but they will help protect your pits from odor and keep them smelling fresh & clean.
